There are bands that do not need to think about aggressive media campaigns to be always recalled and thought as great bands. There are bands that are great – simply as that – because something about them just made them great. Among such bands, there is Circle II Circle, lead by the amazing singer Zachary Stevens who had been the voice of the immense Savatage from 1992 to 2000, and took part of the famous 2015 reunion at Wacken Open Air Festival.
This band left a sign in our lives, as they brought us in a tour with them back in 2009. We were promoting our debut album, Prisoners of Steel, and we were asked to open their concerts in Eastern Europe.
They were just great – even if their line up is quite different from 2009, their main points are still the same and they even became greater. Unfortunately, these guys were touched by a severe grief as yesterday, December 5th, their former drummer Adam Sagan died of a tumor that he had been fighting against since last year – precisely, a kind of leukemia called T-cell lymphoblast lymphoma.
There’s nothing much to add.
We, Burning Black, express our deepest condolences to the family, the friends, to Circle II Circle and the other bands he had the chance to play with and make the music better with his talent.
